Hailing originally from Indiana, now LA-based Bryce Fox is a newcomer with a smouldering earthiness to his mid-Western voice. Like many accomplished artists, Fox is well-versed in writing for other singers, yet on this occasion it's his own debut that ignites. 'Burn Fast' holds all the integrals of a brilliant pop song; a sensual and pithy chorus, rhythmic pulse and contemporary glow which gleams throughout. This is an impressive start, and one which we think may well spread like wild fire. Although we know that Fox will have a release later on this year, music this fresh often means that official details remain currently unscripted. Thankfully though, this one is a treat we can replay and enjoy endlessly until more is brought our way. -LB
